THE KENYA DISPLACMENT AID REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- 100,000 BAGS OF MAIZE VALUED AT US$ 4 MILLION
- 50,000 BAGS OF BEANS VALUED AT US $ 2.6 MILLION
- 2.4 MILLION LITRES OF MILK VALUED AT US$ 1,000,000
- 1,000,000 MILLION BLANKETS VALUED AT US$ 8 MILLION
- 100,000 TENTS VALUED AT US$ 12 MILLION
These are just starting figures to manage the current 350,000 displaced persons in Kenya for a period of one week. In the coming weeks the families displaced are being ferried at a rate of 8,000 persons daily to the refuge camps.
Donations from well wishers are coming in and these are being channeled through the international Red Cross branches.
